斜倚薰籠坐到明。

Her silk handkerchief is soaked with tears, 
but no sleep, no dreams will come. 
Late in the night in the front palace 
they are beating time to songs.
Her looks have yet to fade with age, 
but his royal favours have ended;
Leaning across the incense warmer 
she sits until it is light.
